After being canceled for the last two years due to… well, you know… the Boulevardia Music Festival is finally returning for 2022! This year it’s happening on Friday, June 17th and Saturday, June 18th at Crown Center in Kansas City, MO, and features more than 60 bands, both local and national, on 4 stages. In addition, the festival will feature a silent disco, craft beer and food sampling, and other activities and experiences.
The full band lineup has been announced and features some pretty big acts.
Headlining Friday night, will be Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, and Jenny Lewis. Also featured on Friday are locally grown bands Hembree, The Phantastics, Radkey, Blackstarkids, Calvin Arsenia, The Black Creatures, Unfit Wives, and more. Saturday is a full day of great acts including Olivia Fox, The Whips, Ivory Blue, Making Movies, Summer Breeze, the legendary and newly reunited Frogpond, and all rounded out with the headliner: Dashboard Confessional, whose set 2 years ago was cancelled by a huge thunderstorm.
Previous years of Boulevardia have featured Fitz & the Tantrums, Manchester Orchestra, Guster, The Joy Formidable, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Gin Blossoms, Soul Asylum, and Big Head Todd & The Monsters, to name just a few.
